Journal Entry

Hi everyone!

....It's been nearly 2 weeks since I returned home.....and I'm still painting my living room! AND looking for lazure work (my faux finish for interiors), planning art shows, etc. I have been running (not hiking yet) and it is not easy. Very humbling activity.

I just posted my last journal entries for the PCT '09 (they appear on October 16 & 17). They are my gear pages.....of course, one needs to find what works best for you, but this list is what worked well for me. I think that I could have turned around and walked back to Mexico with all of the same "stuff." Can I do this? No, too late in the season......but it would be nice!

Our old trailmate, Jellybean, is passing through Sacramento today and will spend the night and tomorrow before heading back to Phoenix. Meghan will also visit tomorrow! It is the greatest treat to have made good friends along the trail....what a blessing!

In closing (from our ole friend Shakespeare)

"And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything."

Namaste,
