Second day back on the trail

I am now camped on the shore of Hyatt Lake. It's so beautiful here. I put in 20 miles today plus 3 miles of road walk. Not too bad for my first real day.

This morning there were some nice views of Mt. Shasta. Sadly it was very hazy from the fires in California, so I don't think the photos will be good. There were some nice views but it was mainly in the trees.

I ran into 3 thru hikers today one of whom I met 3 months ago. I walked off trail for lunch (burger) and dinner for a good pizza at Hyatt Lake (PCT hikers also get a free ice cream). One of the many perks of the trail.

The old body is holding up so far, but now I'm tired. Good night.
