Morning in the meadow
Rest day coming up
I was up early in order to make it to Reds Meadow in time for breakfast. Most of the trail was down hill and generally sandy. This section is more volcanic than granitic hence the sandy nature. I knew I was getting close when I came into an old burn area and even closer when I saw the "bus, store, cafe" sign. After a large breakfast, I caught the shuttle to the top of the mountain; then the bike bus down to town; then the trolley to my motel.
