Hail and Wind and Lakes, Oh boy

When the sky is cloudy at 6 am, expect a weird day. I was cold all day long; even now in my tent. At 7 am, the hail started and did that on and off all day long. Then the wind began to howl - all day long. In this case it pushed me up the hill toward Dorothy Lake but it almost knocked me over at Dorothy Lake Pass. Also, all day long, I passed by nice lakes and tarns. The lakes had fog racing across the surface and the larger ones almost had white caps on them. The surrounding peaks were nice too but shrouded in clouds most of the day.

I meant to camp at Walker Meadow but...I crossed one water source thinking that the guide book was correct and there would be another water source soon up the trail. Wrong!! So...I got to climb up toward Kennedy Canyon. I crossed a side creek when it began to hail again, so I pulled over and set up camp as quickly as possible.

It was cold already so I knew the night would be fitful.
