Pacific Crest Trail Map

We arrived at the souther terminus at 5:45 am. and spent about 10 minutes at the border thinking about the long journey ahead. We then started hiking towards Lake Morena County Park and the ADZPCTKO. The morning was nice and cool so we were able to cover a lot of ground early on. It got quite warm in the afternoon which gave us our first taste of the desert heat. We arrived at the park around 2:00 pm.

We passed 5 or 6 border patrol vehicles near the border but we didn't see any illegals.
