Day One
My wife dropped me at border at 8:30 and we said our farewells. Of course I did listen to Rocket Man in the first mile for inspiration.
Started with about 41 lb. pack. Carried 8 L of water but only drank 4.5. Made really good time before lunch. Great first day.

2nd rattlesnake - he was 2' left of me waist height. Thought he was going to strike - I almost dove off of cliff to avoid. Got great video after.
