Today was a good day

Today was a good day.
We left whitewater (???) canyon around 645 and more or less followed the river all day. It was cool hiking in a canyon but crossing the river every hundred yards or so got old quick.

We did 20 some miles today and while I'm tired it wasn't a bad 20 miles. My body is no worse for wear than one would expect.

It's cold right now. When we got to camp Kara said it was 38 degrees, and that was with the sun still up. I'm sleeping with my filter, camera and phone tonight to make sure nothing happens to them. I think my filter may have already froze. I guess this is what we get for camping at 8000 ft. For every 1000 ft the temperature drops another 3 degrees so that's 24 degrees colder to start with. Then add the wind and the chance of snow tonight and it's going to be downright chilly. Looks like I'll finally get a chance to test out the sleep setup.
