Shin Ponders a Drink at the Hyde Lounge

Zero in Mammoth

Very nice to have a relaxing day of rest in Mammoth Lakes. Shin,
Mountain Goat and I had an extended breakfast at the Quality Inn
before splitting and carrying out our separate errands. Shin and I
went to the library for the internet. I hoped to be able to add some
photos to my recent postings but none of the computers had card
readers. I did update map locations for some of my entries so you can
click on the latitude or longitude of those entries and a google map
of your choosing will pop up showing where I've been.
I apologize for being in the Sierras so long with no communication. I
know it worried some of you. I thought I'd be able to have coverage
days ago at VVR but didn't. There will be another stretch from about
July 3-11 where I'll be out of range. If you are ever wondering about
my whereabouts please call Tom Doorn at the office (253) 581-3500 and
he'll have a pretty good idea of where I am.
I'm taking Shin out for his two day delayed birthday dinner at the
nice Japanese restaurant in town tonight, Shogun. Hope it's good. Back
on the trail tomorrow with tons of other thru-hikers heading for
Tuolomne Meadows and the bus down to Yosemite on the third. Hope you
all have a fabulous Fourth!!
