Deep Creek Hot Springs

Snow to Hot Springs

I awoke to snow hitting the tent. It was very cold, snowy and blowing. I ate quickly, packed up and hit the trail. I was hiking with The Trashpockets, Gelb and Rob. It snowed for about six hours with a little thunder snow thrown in for good measure. I figured total accumulation was about six inches. We had to cross a stream several times. No rockhopping was possible, we just walked through thigh deep ice cold water, great fun. The snow finally quit and we went from walking through snow to slush to dry trail. The day ended at a hot springs that felt very good after a cold wet day on the trail.
