Here we go for another BIG adventure. In four more days we leave for for San Diego. To get there we will drive to Charlotte and then fly to Newark and back to San Diego. Hope this is no indication how this trip will pan out.
As usual with me I have been procrastinating many things for the past few weeks but that trait helps me focus when I need to. Carolyn has helped me focus on her honey dues the last few days and boy have I been busy. Tomorrow I plan on loading everything into my pack and see what it weights without fuel, water and food. Hopefully under 20 lbs.
For those that don't know the other part of "We" it's Mike Hill from Greenville. Mike and I have been hiking together for a couple of years and met through the Oconee Hikers. We have had several multi nights out on the trail to make sure we won't kill each other.
I will update this journal by using a Blackberry with an aux keyboard and Verizon for service. My son Matthew will be doing the updating of the post as my grammar and spelling leave a lot to be desired out on the trail.
