Still on the original plan...again
It appears that things have worked out for us to stay with our original plan. Our son will be at the hospital on Monday with Julie's parents, who have told us they do not want us to postpone our trip.
So, our son will drive us down to Quincy-LaPorte Rd tomorrow and we will head north to Dunsmuir. I put our basic timetable in here (click on the "plan" link in the sidebar) so you can see what our hiking plan is.
We are really looking forward to spending three weeks on the trail and seeing some country that we haven't been in before.
Just a note about photos...I will not be posting any in here until we get back home. It's a very tedious job transferring them from the camera to the phone so I can upload them, and it takes a long time to send them in via the cell system. Using the computer at home is much easier and much faster. After we get back, I will also get some photos up on our Facebook account so you can see more photos than what I can put in the journal entries (limit of five per entry).
I hope you enjoy reading about this year's adventure. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, we appreciate every one.
Walk on.....
