Easy Pass

I know why Selden Pass is called the easiest pass. Its because we have been climbing steadily for seven miles. By the time you get to the pass, its a piece of cake! Took our time travelling through Sally Keyes Lakes area. Sat beside the first lake trying to get pictures of the many trout surfacing near the shore. Another sunny day! Stopped for a quick dip in the creek just before the last push up and over. Views north to Marie Lake provided photo ops. Then four miles down to our camp for the night. Trailside campsites along Bear Creek were already taken so we opted to take the side trail on Bear Creek Trail a short ways and scored on a large creekside site. Tomorrow, it would be a short hop of 9.4 miles to the Lake Edison Ferry which will take us to Vermillion Valley Resort, our next resupply. We are at the bottom of our bear barrel, so timing is good for a new resupply of yummy treats. Denise and her brother Richard have prepared this package for us, so we are a little frightened about what we may find! She did slip and say that there would be a snickers bar in my future.
