Pacific Crest Trail Map
It was drizzling lightly this morning. But I was so excited to see my
Mami, to get to the monument, to shave off my beard, to finish this
So I jumped out, packed all and hiked - slowly. Farewelling the trail
on every step. It was an easy uphill and easy downhill. The rain
stopped and I continued enjoying Washingtons beauty on the very last
day of the hike.
K came running towards me. She spent last night at the monument. She
is so beautiful that It takes me by surprise - everytime. I was so
high from the last epic 4 days. And her voice calling my name is still
echoing in my head (the next day). And this moment will probably stay
vivid in my head for many years to come.
Dain, Gnar and Pod were there at the monument, we did the registry and
photos errands and moved on to feast on the food easy bake (K) brought
with her. Fresh tomatoes, avocados, chala bread, olives, Persian
cucumbers, and more and more! She freezed all night without her proper
sleeping bag and sleeping pad and carried way too many pounds! She is
the best woman in the entire world! The monument was so pale.
The next 8 miles, we hiked together, hand in hand for long stretches.
Just like we both imagined, I haven't notice the trail at all, I was
so engaged with my love.
We got to the manning park lodge at around 19:00. Checked in, went to
our room, and this is were the PCT journals ENDS!
