The Doors
"This is the end, my only friend, the end..." - Jim Morrison "The Doors".I waited in Burney Falls State Park until the evening when my parents arrived to pick me up. Kilroy and Chilly Willy hiked out this morning to continue their way toward Canada. Silent Joe pulled a muscle in his thigh, and we gave him a ride to Mt. Shasta where he would wait a few days to heal up and then planned to rejoing Kilroy and Chilly Willy at Castella.
We retrieved the package I'd bounced to Castella. While at the store there we ran into Rhino and Dirtmonger. I wish I could keep up the miles. These guys would be fun to hike with.
I'm so conflicted. But the ankle leaves no room for doubt. It no longer supports me and the weight of the pack for more than about 100 yards before folding.
