Ski area and HoJos from the trail

Snoqualmie Pass

Town day - I was up super early and hiking at first light - all for a measly 4 miles! Just as I reached town, a light drizzle started. By 8:30, I was sitting in the Pancake House ordering eggs, pancakes and sausage. There is not much here in this town. A ski lift operation, a gas station, the pancake house and a hotel called the Summit Inn but owned by Howard Johnsons. The hotel people are very hiker friendly, reduced rate for hikers and early check in. I was able to check in at 10 am - what a deal! I was given free laundry soap and directed to their coin-op laundry. They have a jacuzzi, a computer to use and wi-fi throughout. All in all, a great place for a zero, and especially today as the weather was ugly - cold and light drizzle. So, I will call today a Nero, not a Zero because well, I did hike 4 miles this morning.

The weather remained bad throughout the day. I sat in the jacuzzi.
