Counting Down

Well the countdown has begun...I'll leave Canada for San Diego in 17 days. Gear has been coming in steadily, I just about got every thing I need. Tested out my solar charger for my Iphone and it seems to work really good, my camera seems to have bit the dust not really sure whats up with it so I'll just use my Iphone for a camera. The gear needed and the planning necessary for this trip is quite a bit more than my 2009 AT thru hike, a lot of logistics for this journey.
I plan on purchasing my food along the way but will use a bounce box that I will probably see 4 or 5 times along the way. I've got a lot of extra stuff in my bounce box, extra shoes, crocs, socks, Rain pants, hiking pants, 2 more shirts, a couple of sporks (I seem to lose or break them),headphones, warmer gloves, my 3/4 thermarest (in case i don't like the Neo Air), extra toiletries, some food and probably even more things that I can't think of right now...Oh! and my warmer layers + Bearvault for the Sierras.
Would you believe me if I told you that I actually pack light?
Anyhow the plan seems to be coming together and it looks like I will hit the border on the 28th and spend the 29th and 30th at the ADZPCTKO. I'll be meeting up with Annie there, we hiked with each other a little while on the AT, it will be nice to know somebody on the trail right of the bat but still I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing all about your lives, your adventures...and even experiencing some of them with you.
I'll bring the coffee, beer and entertainment...enjoy the show.

Cheers,
Java
