Its been over a month now since I left the trail to travel with Dona. One of
our intents for doing the PCT was to do a trip together. When Donas knees
gave up our plan was kind of messed up.
I feel pretty good about my 745 miles in two months.

When I read journals of folks still hiking I wonder how it would be for me
if I were still out there. I suppose I'll just have to wonder!

This picture was taken in the Badlands of South Dakota.
Bigfoot was a Souix indian Chief who was murdered at Wounded Knee.

I listed here all the folks I met on the trail whose names I can remember.
It was a highlight of my trip to meet you at various places along the trail.
Looking back its fun to think how each meeting was different from the
previous meeting and what trail experiences caused the differences.

Right now Dona and I are cruising on I 94 in North Dakota. We are headed
to Minneapolis. That will be our furthest east point.
After leaving Lone Pine CA we have been to Grand Canyon NP, Sand Dunes
NP,Rocky Mountain NP, Teddy Roosevelt NP, Badlands NP, Little Big Horn NM
and a slew of museums.

We've driven 7000 miles and we still have to get back to Seattle!

Longest hike has been 9 miles in the Grasslands of Roosevelt NP.

We live in Seattle and if any hikers need some TLC there
my email is:jamesfrederickmiller at gmail.com

Maybe we'll see some of you on the trail after late August as we will be
doing trail maintenance on the PCT south of Snoqualmie Pass.

Hikers I remember (names of):
Flash, Flame, Yardsale, Crasher, Busted Magic, Dan from Iowa, Rattler,
Rhino, Dirtmonger, Wet Sheep, Garageman and Poundhound, Waterboy and
Earlygirl, Onepole, Just Dave, Mogley, Storytime, Dropdead, Marmot and Roo,
Topsy Turvey and the guy with her, F. Gentle Spirit, Softwalker, Ramblin
Rise, Halfstep, So Far? (He carried Dona's pack back to highway 74 when she
couldn't go any further..her last day.), Yankee, SwissMiss, Gourmet and
daughter Obsidian, Sourdough

Thanks

Bigfoot Jim
