Oh Canada!

PCT thru-hike: Check!

We arrived at the border monument at around 1:30 on Thursday and crossed into Canada. Eurotrash and LaFawnduh were awaiting us, and after celebrating with drinks we carried all the way from Skykomish, we headed out for the last 8 miles to Manning Park, where we would get a room for the night. After our celebration at the border, the hike to Manning Park was, shall we say, interesting, but we made it by 7 and checked in. The next day, LaFawnduh's parents arrived in their Suburban and gave the four of us, plus hikers Chili Dog and Seahorse, a ride back to the States. We stopped off for dinner in downtown Seattle, dropped off Chili Dog and Seahorse, and arrived in Portland by midnight, where we said our good-byes. Eurotrash and LaFawnduh have been great hiking companions for the final push in Washington, we wish them well.

We're now back in Portland trying to re-integrate ourselves back into "normal" life. We have written journal entries for every day on the trail and hope to catch up soon with our typing so you all can read about our adventures. Please keep checking.

In the meantime, thanks to all our friends and family who have supported us on this endeavor, and a special thanks to all the great trail angels we met along the way. This trip would have been much harder, if not impossible, without you.
