Pacific Crest Trail Map

What we did last summer...

Thought I should put a quick note in here to wrap up this year. Based on the snow conditions in July 2011, we decided to just play tourist instead of trying to hike through that much snow. We spent a few days at Crater Lake, took the boat tour, hiked up to the top of Wizard Island and took a "few" photos. We also ran into a couple of thru-hikers and talked to them about the snow conditions. For us, we definitely made the right decision.

Then we went to the Oregon Caves, Fern Canyon on the northern California Coast, and rode the Rogue River jet boats out of Gold Beach. Then it was back home for a day or so, before heading up to southern Washington to see Mount St. Helens.

Just got the journal started for 2012 so keep watching that for our current adventure.
