Leaving the Klostermans and Agua Dulce

I woke up at 6:00 in the Klosterman's son's bedroom. I didn't get the young man's name, but I thank him for the comfortable bed and pillow. It's always strange to sleep/wake up in a stranger's bed after meeting the stranger's parents the previous afternoon, but it becomes something of the norm once you've been blessed by trail angels a few times.

I walked downstairs and enjoyed coffee, cereal, and eggs made by our host, Jim. After breakfast, we took a group photo outside, and then Jim drove us to the Saufley's house so that I could pick up my mail drop. We then returned to the grocery store that we visited upon arrival in Agua Dulce, Sweetwater Farms, for more snacks. We saw some other hiker friends there: The Brits, Pounce, Gecko, and Pops. Then, unable to resist, we went to Big Mouth Pizza for garlic cheese sticks.

We started hiking out of town at 11:30, and stopped only 11 miles later. Camped at a water cache near Bouquet Canyon Rd.
