One month until departure!
I had been making an entry on Trailjournals but just found out about the journal feature on Postholer. I like the format here better and it integrates with my Spot tracker, so I'm starting another one. Hopefully I will be able to keep up on it!
I already had the bulk of the gear for this trip since I get out so much but have finished selecting the missing pieces (new tent, replaced aging sleeping bag, etc). I recently switched my water treatment method to a Sawyer Squeeze-Filter from Aqua Mira. I have never liked consuming chemicals or waiting for them to work so I like this solution. The weight is nearly the same as well.
Time off from work has been secured, plans made for my car and apartment, and my mail drops are planned. I am using a mix of planned shipments and purchasing food wherever possible. I have boxed up 10 total mail drops and the rest of my food will be bought as I go. When I get to Snoqualmie Pass I'll likely head into Seattle for a few days before finishing off the trip!
