Heading out for a warm- up hike

Greyhound is a great way to begin the transition back into trail
life. It is a much gentler (read slower) process than travelling by
air, and there is something about the whole bus station 'element' that
just feels 'more right' when you are travelling in your backpacking
duds.

I am out on the A.T. this year for a couple of weeks as a "warm-up"
for the PCT, which I will be starting this year. I'll be flying
out to San Diego on April 23 to attend the PCT Kick-Off (ADZPCTKO)
and hike a section of that trail starting on the Mexican border
near Campo, CA.
