Me looking knackered at the end of a 75 miler in Bob Marshall

A Contract Signed In Digital Ink

I think its time to make it official: in 2013 Im going to attempt to thru hike the PCT! Damn that feels good to say.

A little bio Im Conor. Im 22. I grew up in Grand Junction, CO. Went to school in Boulder studying Civi-E with a minor in plug-it-and-chug-it. Im currently living in Helena, Montana and loving life. At school I got back into backpacking by joining the CU Hiking Club. In the club I rose to the lofty position of Vice President, what I wrote on resumes, and Happy Hour Coordinator, what I spent the majority of my time and creative prowess doing. There was also a decent amount of capital investment in exchange for malty libations. Well at one of our weekly club safety meetings at the Southern Sun the idea of going for a long walk in 2013 first entered my head. From there the idea has slowly bored into my brain like some animal that slowly bores holes into things. And there it has stayed. Ive been doing a bunch of learning, researching, gear buying & testing this summer along with some pretty sweet hikes but more about that later.

For now I just want to be on record about the walk - 2013 see you at the Kick Off baby! (KO for short, Annual Day Zero Pacific Crest Trail Kick Off for long).

Cheers,

Conor
