Interesting stuff

The majority of people that I have discussed the trail with have asked me if I am frightened of the bears and mountain lions that will surely dine on me in this adventure. They express a fear of being alone - and in the dark - and oh my gosh maybe even BOTH AT THE SAME TIME! I've explained that my house is in the woods and mountain lions and bears have been seen in the front yard. I also take my Yorkshire terrier for bathroom breaks at night and the only bite and claw scars I have are from ex lovers. Interestingly people can't understand why I would want to do it EVER and some are envious and would like to give it a go themselves. A small percentage (all of them guys) want to know what firearm I'll be bringing for rogue bears and the criminal elements that I will no doubt encounter frequently - even daily - YIKES!! I tell them the truth -- I am too frail to carry even a second pair of tighty whities, I may even go commando! For BEAR defense I will rely on the extreme manly odor of my privates and armpits to deter the beasts (this should be effective as the American Black Bear's sense of smell is legendary among attack survivors). As for the felons it is true that I had a nightmare this week where I encountered a gang of stinky pct thru hikers that due to starvation, foot injuries and sensory deprivation (lack of reality TV) were reduced to the lowest depths of human depravity - they forced me to carry their gear for them. I am downloading a mental health APP to my phone so I can receive counseling on the trail for my dream post traumatic stress. I haven't even gotten to Campo and I'm emotionally injured already!
