Gear is arriving.
So, I have my pack, my pad, headlamp, poles, water treatment, bag, stove, groundsheet, other things...
So yeah, stuff is arriving, slowly but surely. I got my Arc Blast pack yesterday, which was good, because I was changing the spark plugs in my car, and one of the plugs sheared off, leaving the threading IN MY ENGINE with the rest of the plug in the socket. I wanted to murder everything. Luckily, actually, due to the deft manipulation of me being pissed the fuck off, and turning red at NAPA, I got a free bolt remover, and with some ingenuity, and help from my buddy, (he did most of the work) got the threading out and installed the new plug. But back to the pack. It. weighs. nothing. So incredibly light. I'm really excited. It maked me feel like I'm floating, like it somehow makes me lighter. Either that or I was so relieved at getting my car fixed that I was high on adrenaline.
But stuff. It's arriving, it's super light, and most of it is tiny, which means I'm going to have to be careful to organize it.
I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.
