Castles in the air.

At the current moment I am set up on an incline of a ridge that provides a surprisingly comfortable curve for me to recline in. Also, I am in a cloud. But first things first. After camping at 2424, I pushed on another 28 and camped near Kiddo once again. The next day it was into Stevens Pass and the dinsmores. I got to the pass around dark, and got a ride to the Dinsmores place near Skykomish from two hikers staying there and doing trail magic. I passed out shortly thereafter, and spent a zero drying stuff out and relaxing. I left the next afternoon and made it ten miles. Today I did 30 miles so I can finish the hike on Saturday, and ended up camping early in a slightly inconvenient place because of the fog. I couldn't see ANYTHING. My headlamp only made things worse. So here I am.

Washington is really really ridiculously good looking, I actually started making comparisons to certain types of person, but I won't share those because I'm not presently in a rational frame of mind concerning girls. Certain emotional and physiological changes along the trail have left me verrrry interested in pursuing some sort of long term relationship after the trip. I'll leave it at that.

I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.
