Pacific Crest Trail Map

Down down down

My feet are a mess and I am concerned about them.

The trail was nice as it descended in the forest but when the trees disappeared things deteriorated - hot, loose, rocky. This lasted for quite a ways on the south side of Sierra Buttes. Then it was back to trees down to the highway.

I hoped for a ride to town and succeeded with about .7 miles to go. The small town of Sierra City was crowded but the Red Moose was very welcoming. I got a shower, set up camp in their back yard, got something to eat and drink.

I asked about transportation to Truckee or Sacramento - my feet are done. It will take more than a couple of days for these blisters to heal.

I had the rib dinner at the Red Moose and then was treated to another cello and violin concert by Cuddles and his wife. I heard them in Agua Dulce earlier this year.
