Roll The Dice

Hopping over snakes
Big views of the desert floor
Roll for Yahtzee fun

Was sending healing energy to my knee today which I think worked:
I love you
I am you
Sending you strength

Either that or it's the vitamin I (ibprophen)

Had 11 miles in by 11 am. But the afternoon was brutal. Hot, slow, mentally challenging, endless trail. The desert sucks every drop of moisture from your body. Plus I was feeling down, hiking all by myself. Missing Yazhi real bad and needing messages of support. Even stopped to turn on my phone once to check for the love. Negative downward spiral found me dwelling on my pain. Not fun but I think I dug myself out ok.

Just before I had to go 1 round trip mile off trail to get water, I nearly stepped on a pair of snakes. One had it's mouth clenched on the other and had wrapped that sucker up in a vice grip. Either this was some elaborate mating ritual or I witnessed one snake killing another. They did appear to gave quite different patterns.

The wind was a blessing today. Just enough to help keep cool. Only a few gusts that knocked me off balance. The last time through here the wind was fierce and relentless.

Camped here tonight with a group of ladies. Glad for the company and we played Yahtzee. Oh the luxuries of life....
