Morning light changes
Two perfect hitches with five
Hobo under bridge

There's a moment when the early morning light becomes noticeably brighter, like instantly. That moment was at 555 am this morning as I climbed out of the dry creek bed canyon. Pretty quick miles this morning to Rodriguez water tank. Then hot, dry, desolate and dying cactus hiking. Made it 13 miles to Scissors Crossing by noon. Hitched with my Yahtzee ladies into Julian. Unbelievable! All 5 of us got a hitch together!

Julian was so awesome and Mamas too. Mamas gives thru hikers a free sandwich, slice of pie and drink. Thank you! I picked up a sandwich and goodies for dinner at the store. You see, I had big plans for my night under the bridge. Some resting at the local park with other hiker trash was followed by the five of us again all catching a hitch together.

So many hikers headed off to the big climb. And more poured into scissors crossing as I enjoyed a reward beer. Now I'm camped here under the bridge sorta out of the wind with 30 Pack, Coincidence and Sneaks.

Yep, this is the life!
