The Gusher

Travel heart sighting
Blood gushing out of my nose
Evening sunset hike

Started the morning dodging poison oak as I followed trail along the creek. The mid day doldrums hit again as I made slow progress to the next water and Mikes trail angel house. Kushy fed us hot dogs and beer. Relaxed there for about 3 hours before hitting the trail again.

Just before I was about to leave, I blew my nose for the gozillionth time and a few minutes later the blood was gushing out. Lots of blood flowing as if I had turned on a faucet. It eventually stopped after I held the bridge of my nose for a while. I pulled away my handkerchief and there was the biggest blood clot I'd ever seen. Yum.

All is well now and no more troubles as I hiked another 10 miles. I arrived at my destination after hiking through a beautiful sunset.

I'm exhausted tonight. Can't wait to sleep. Actually saw a horny toad and one of those big, fast lizards.
