Somewhere But Nowhere

Snow dusts the mountains

Somewhere but nowhere

The mountains were dusted with snow. Woke up early but lounged in bed looking at maps and just relaxing the feet. Yes, bed. The guys let me have the bed which was really nice! Sour Cream headed out early despite the misty rain. I ventured over to the coffee shop and found G Dub who had just rolled into town from the icy rain. He decided to stay in the cabin with Sensai and myself. We went to breakfast and when our meal arrived there was silence. And I'm not referring to the silence around giving thanks. I'm talking about the silence when hungry hikers are busy eating.

The afternoon was filled with a trip to the library, grocery store and writing postcards at the coffee shop with DJ Feels Good, Outburst and Scottie Pippen. I added a post on my wordpress website www.pctlionheart.wordpress.com with a few pictures from my camera. And then it was dinner time. When do you eat dinner at home? Well, hungry hikers dinner time is about 5pm. Because you know, bed time is like 8pm. A rambunctious group slowly gathered at the pizza shop where the beer was plentiful and the mood joyous. The party continued at a nearby cabin and good times were had by all. S'mores cooked up in the cabin fireplace!

What seemed like a late late night of parting ended as I tumbled into bed about 11pm. Let the good times roll. Will be headed out tomorrow and will soon be crossing Fuller Ridge.
