hurtin' toe

Limp Love

I slept in a long time, until 6am. I moved my toe. Still hard to move and extremely swollen. Damn. Fuck You know what that means. Back to the trail head. I just can not in good consciousness start a 100 mile stretch of trail limping like a gimp. I could barely get my foot back in my shoe. I heard cars not too far away. So I headed over to the road. I managed to catch a truck coming by and they gave me a ride back to Cajon Pass. Yep, back at my ever so favorite place.

I have a hard time asking for help, even accepting it once it's offered. Despite that, I emailed uncle Phil saying I was in desperate need of a rescue. So, a long drive later, he arrived at the best western to pick me up. The most precious of angels!

My toe and foot is so swollen. A little internet research netted possible stress fracture. I hope to get to a doctor to figure this out. Mexican dinner, margaritas, nyquil and some beer are helping tons. Thank you uncle Phil and aunt Donna for being such angels! Good Night!
