coveted brownies in a shoe

Toewing The Line

Have you ever received brownies in a pair of shoes? Well, toeday was my lucky day. Golden. Brownies in shoe? Check. Not toe worry, these are a brand new pair of shoes which have seen no trail miles yet. Free of dust. Free of trail love. Free of infection. My parents sent me my favorite. Local double chocolate brownies and a total indulgence. You got toe live life big my friends. And don't forget to rise up for the 'lesser toes'. Every 500 to 700 miles I switch out my old dusty shoes for a new pair. Since my current shoes saw many pre-trail miles, I figured it was time.

So the pass off happened toeday. The passing of me from one family toe another. That may sound awkward but it really is a blessing. What are the odds of an ill-fated, wheezing, toe-infected Pacific Crest Trail hiker having two sets of family in relatively the same area who can provide rescue missions? So, now I'm staying with my Aunt Mare for the next few days until I am trail ready.

Some evening beer and phone calls rounded out this fine day. And yes, I'm almost half way through the second book of the vampire series.
