Would have liked to of slept in more but the brain started thinking of all the things I had to do today. Laundry, grocery shopping, gear repair, shower, emails all followed a large continental breakfast.

The afternoons find pct hikers wandering the town. The time in between hotel check out and the time when it's cool enough to hit the trail. After G Dub and I lurked in the hotel lobby for a few hours we went over to a nearby pizza place for a few hours until trail angel Aloha came to give us a ride.

We hit the trail just after 7 pm with the wind gusting like mad. I guess it should be no surprise because this place is the wind capital of the world. Wind turbines as far as the eye can fathom. Tucked in tonight underneath a Juniper as the wind continues to rip.

BTW, GTFO means get the fuck out. I can't say I'm fond of Tehachapi and I witnessed on repeated occasions the owners of the best western verbally abusing their employees. It's a dirty town stretched across this flat valley and I do not need to ever return.
