More unhappy toes

Awoke at 5 am, found the restroom, got back in my bag and slept for nearly another hour. By 9 am I had made my way to the beautiful chicken spring lake over 11,000 feet. A cold lake set in among the jagged, steep rocks. I lounged in the sun with my down jacket on.

After lunch I put in 9 more miles for an easy day. No sign of G Dub but Snickers, Cherub, Dr. Know and Chops are here tonight.

The afternoon was hard because I have two new unhappy toes. Toes two and three on my left foot both have open wounds and I'm trying my hardest to not get them infected. I got a blister yesterday and have dealt with it but the toe is still red and swollen. Had to chug the pain meds to make it through this afternoon. Pain tests the mental strength and I found myself feeling sad, lonely and just plain tired of foot troubles.
