Mosquito frenzy
New trail across Goodall Pass
Packed out hamburger
It might be number 8. My pillow which I've only been using some of the time won't blow up properly. I can still put air in it but it's shape is not right. It still technically works so I'm not sure if it counts for number 8.
After a trip to the bathroom at 5 am I went back to sleep. Slow morning but eventually got some breakfast, wrote some postcards, and finished putting my resupply together. Paid my tab of $ 160. Snickers found out about a different trail that would get us back to the pct across Goodall Pass. It was a fun way to go even if it was more miles. And we were able to skip the ferry.
After I hiked out, I had cell service again and I emailed Zpacks. They responded while I still had cell service with some suggestions for temporary fixes. Upon further inspection I've noticed that there are a couple straps down near my hip belt that are nearly worn through. So, after thinking I'd jumped the gun asking my parents to send my old backpack, I know I made the right decision. UL gear is awesome but it just doesn't hold up as well.
We rejoined the pct tread this afternoon and went a few more miles before camping. Here tonight with Snickers, Cherub and Soup Nazi. The mosquitos are bad so we all are seeking refuge in our tents. We're all camped close enough though that we can still talk and joke.
