I've got to give a shout out to Pamela's for sponsoring me with bars and cookies. Thank you Pamela's! The cool thing about Pamela's bars is that even when it's a cold morning they are still yummy and easy to eat. You see, my other bars turn to rocks in the cold and nearly break my teeth if I try to eat them.

Thought I could get just flip back to the early schedule and get on trail by 6 am. Negative. But I did manage to be kicking up the dust by 7 am. Fairly gradual climbs and descents all day made for easy miles.

I took a luxurious 45 minute break after only 6 miles. I stuffed myself with a Luna bar, blueberries, strawberries, fritos, and the grand prize of the best peach ever. Thank you Robin! The first peach I'd had all year and it was so fucking good. I could have eaten peaches all day. If only I wouldn't have gotten the shits.

13 miles until the next water. Ok, it's time to start paying more attention to where water is. The miles and the daydreams flew by. 19 miles by 330 pm. As 7 pm neared I still felt good and pushed a few more miles. A marathon day. If I can do this through the end I'll be doing good. Camped tonight by myself and I'm hearing the weirdest sounds. Two distinct animals which I can not identify. Hope I survive.
