Rounding The Corner

Today I awoke finally feeling like myself. A good sign. Went for my last visit at the clinic. My wounds were draining well. Another soak and rebandage and I was on my way.

I felt good enough to venture over to the bakery. Bought a few treats for the Alderbrook Inn/Hiker Hut owners Vicky and Dave. They are so loving and caring. It's been really great having a chance to stay here and get to know them.

The town is still talking about the big house fire. Every time I walk by I see these burnt pages from books lying on the sidewalk which serve as a reminder of the tragedy.

Went to the brewery and soda fountain with Kpax. Got to be a part of the big thunderstorm that hit the town. Hail and the fattest rain drops you'd ever seen. When I returned to the hiker hut, I saw a hiker sitting aside the road. As I got closer, I realized it was Cherub. We shared the biggest hug and got caught up on trail goings ons. Unfortunately, she'd already decided to hike out so now she's ahead of me. Still not sure when I'm going to hike. Will let my wrist decide.
