Oh Sweet Oregon

Ring all the bells! Stop the presses! Shout from the rooftops! I have made it to Oregon! 3.5 months after starting, I'm finally in the land of no sales tax. And by crossing into Oregon I've also passed the 1700 mile mark.

Kpax and I celebrated at the border with a lime-arita that we'd chilled overnight in the bear dog spring. August and Tigger shared some of their champagne too. I'm not sure that I can really express the joy and excitement of reaching this point. I've walked across the entire state of California. No small feat.

I know that I can physically finish this thing. Now it's a mental game. My guestbook and email have been pretty quiet lately. Your support and encouragement go a long way and power every step that I take. I realize that my journal might have become a bit dull but I promise to add some pep!

Camped here tonight with the prefect setup to see the sunset and sunrise. Beautiful wispy clouds and smoke fill the air. I would like to add that another guy attempted the pancake challenge yesterday, a non hiker, and he only could finish 1.5 pancakes. Kpax rocks!
