Rolling Out

I again could not keep my eyes open and I'm writing this journal after the fact.

We had breakfast with Mary, Ken, Bev and Don. Kpax whipped up omelet after omelet. Turns out he's got some college cooking experience. After pictures and hugs we finally departed and Bev and Don drove us the 20+ miles back to elk lake resort.

What I imagined to be a quick stop to grab my Tyvek jacket which I'd forgotten there, turned into a several hour gathering. Two pitchers of boneyard rpm, lunch and visiting with Roid Trip, Double Sprainbow and Madam Moisel filled the time.

Finally, we left by 2 pm. Forested afternoon found us emerging near the South Sister. What a beautiful sight in the early evening glow.

It's hard to put into words. The generosity of our newest friends in Bend is overwhelming. A gift which I have reflected on all afternoon and is simply magical. Thank you Mary, Ken, Bev and Don!
