Waffles And Beer

Up early for breakfast buffet and chores. Awoke to a beautiful Mt. Hood. In honor of tradition I dined on waffles and beer for breakfast. Ran into Fireweed which was awesome because I hadn't seen her since 2009.

As more and more hikers rolled in, we rolled out. It was hard to leave such a beautiful place but the trail beckoned.

Still traversing the fingers of Mt. Hood. We came to the chalky Sandy River which we had to ford. It's a lot more challenging when you can't see through the water and you're just blindly stepping through the torrent. After I crossed, I found some abandoned flip flops and I threw them over for Kpax to wear.

Took the scenic Ramona Falls alternate which was extremely beautiful with the big falls and giant rock outcroppings. Not sure where the day went or why we covered so few miles. Joined tonight by hikers Filthy and Junko.
