These raccoons meander the park day and night

Stanley Park

Another sunny day here in Vancouver. Not long after cramming onto mass transit, Alex and I were walking through the famous and beautiful Stanley Park. It's really a forest in which path ways have been added. It certainly was the perfect place for indigenous peoples to live as it is aside a protected inlet of the ocean. Next was the ocean with views of the big city. Wow. The ocean. It's been too long.

Each day, there are waves of sadness. Mostly I'm so happy to have finally reached Canada. But that also means that my hike is over and that is sad. The body and mind just want to keep going. The mind also seems slow to realize what has happened. Have I really just hiked from Mexico to Canada? Is it really October? Wow. I guess time flies when you're having fun. Pumpkins are popping up all over which means I guess it's time to head home. What a journey it has been!
