Getting Supplies Pulled Together
I finally broke down and did the major food ordering today. I have been taste testing dinners since January and experimenting with dehydrating food to go stoveless. I also finished my resupply strategy. So the number of days on trail and the food I intend to eat gave me enough information to build a shopping list. And boy is it a shopping list! Many items I can get locally, but many I had to order online. My husband is still recovering from the shock of the bill. You see, he took over bill paying while I am gone and now these things matter to him a bit more:-)Also, I figured out how to get this journal started. To celebrate my morning accomplishments, I am going to go on a 4 mile hike up Badger Mountain with a full pack as part of my fitness maintenance before I hit the trail.
