Good morning to run for the border

Class of 2011 finishes the PCT

Done! So done!

Holly woke in the middle of the night to sense a more confined space in the tent. Pushing against the tent met with resistance and then after another push, snow slid off the tent. In the morning we woke to 2-3 inches of wet snow blanketing the ground. Not really a problem, just cold wet feet and chance of slippery footing. Holly was thankful that it wasn't a foot of fresh snow erasing the trail. Once we dropped below the snow line, everything was wet from the previous rain. The leader got drenched and rest wet. We really hustled. Proud, celebratory at the border, yes done. We were so glad to be done. But not really! There were still 8 more miles til you came out of the woods of Manning Park. Those were long miles.

We reached civilization late in the afternoon and were again blessed with a hot shower, laundry facilities - Clean Clothes, FOOD, and a soft bed. Glorious rest!

Tomorrow we would catch a bus to Vancouver, BC. Take a couple of days to see the sights while we are in Canada. Then by bus and train home!

So thankful for the adventure, blessed exceedingly.
