Training hike on Mt Hood

Jingle Bell and I spent part of the day hiking 3,100 vertical feet to one of the stone huts on Mt. Hood. There were patches of snow on the side of the trail above 5,500 feet, not really enough to slide down on. The day was fairly warm, pretty close to conditions we expect on our section hike. Both of us wish we could get more time for hiking, but oh well...

I finished dehydrating the last bit of food for lunches and dinners. Lunches are the hardest part for me to figure out. Snacks are done, paper maps are copied, digital maps are loaded on my smartphone, gear is being sorted and weighed in preparation for packing up. So many things to do and so little time left to get things done...
