Sunrise!

ziggy+bear pit stop

Woke up to calm skies and just in time to see the sun rise. Didn't make it down the mountain as far as I thought last night. A very rocky trail that was almost all downhill put me at the valley floor@1600 ft. Elevation. A 5 mile walk across sand got me to the i-10 underpass. 2 miles further was a trail angel named ziggy and the bear who open their home to hikers. It was a welcome rest stop that offers shade, water, some limited supplies, showers and laundry.I didn't want to spend the night there so I hiked 5 more miles to end my day.
