Day 62

The trip is all done, for now, only time will tell if I come back to the PCT. Southpaw and I got up and walked over to a cafe for breakfast. It was a great breakfast but we were both at a loss for words. He will continue on his journey and I know he will cross the border before the snow gets too deep to pass. After breakfast we check out and head over to the main area where he is catching a movie and I am catching the shuttle. It was great hiking almost 700 miles with him and after a big hug we are both off on different paths.

The shuttle was great and after only getting one day updated in the blog I am in Reno. I need to go to REI for a few things and check out Costco for any deals. Tomorrow I will head over to wallmart for a cheap duffel bag, pool noodle for my ice ace, and some duct tape to secure it all. The lady at Costco have me directions to the walmart but warned me it was 3 miles away and I politely told her it would be no problem to walk there.

This is my last entry and I hope everyone has enjoyed my rants and raves. It has been a struggle to keep up with the blog, deal with internet, etc while on the trail but it was the fact that there were so many people enjoying the blog that kept me doing it. Now it is time to heal, workout to rebuild 20 lbs of lost muscle, and get back to my family and business. Of course the dog will be the top priority!

Cheers

Dave "Hockey"
