Home Sweet Home

My Home for the next 4.5 Months

I don't start hiking until April 26th and I'm going crazy. So I'm going to post up some gear pictures and descriptions to kill time.

Shelter = Tarptent Notch (27.7 oz). I might skip the floor/netting and carry only the tarp until the Sierra since there aren't supposed to be many bugs until then. That would save me 9 oz and I'll probably end up cowboy camping most of the time anyway.

Sleeping Bag = Western Mountaineering Ultralite 20 deg. with some extra down added (32 oz)

Pad = Exped Synmat UL 7 (16.15 oz)

Pillow = Exped UL (1.55 oz)

Groundsheet = Tyvek (3.75), thanks Joe

Drybag = Exped Schnozzel (2.2 oz), doubles as a sleeping pad inflator saving my lungs and keeping moisture from my breath out of the pad.

Along with my pack - 2011 Golite Jam (28 oz) - I'll be just under 7 pounds for the "Big 3"
