The Struggle

Although my trip is almost a year away I have been obsessed. I actually told one of my coworkers about my intention and he is very supportive. It's funny when you are in an environment where people are pretty much all the same, it's hard to be yourself for fear of being an outcast in a place where popularity is just as important as skill set. Anyway, because of this (and because of some very gossipy coworkers) I typically don't share a lot of personal info with people at work...I just prefer to live my life and keep my business to myself. Opening up is always a risk for me, but in this case I was rewarded with a conversation with someone who gets it, and who knows people that have done similar things or have had similar major life decisions to make.
