Training in the Rain, useful for the Desert and Drought!
Wet feet, but happy to be out with rucksacks. Using umbrellas really helped when the wind died down, allowing raingear to be loosened and undone, they keep us from overheating and morale up. The rhythm of hiking comes back easily as we fall into step, it must be muscle memory. The miles roll by and the southdowns are really beautiful, BUT unseen today.
Trail runners are caked in mud, but are good training for keeping traction on the snow. Mostly the fact that it's less than three months to go is keeping our spirits up. The logicstic's of packing up our worldly goods starts tomorrow, storage united reserved
At Home On The Trail
tomorrow isn't promised to anyone
